Landmines, Tripwires & Astrocartography

It’s taking a while to recalibrate and I’m not rushed or ashamed.

I recognize how I used to succumb to the pressure and expectation for me to “show up” when it wasn’t time for me yet.

When I knew I wouldn’t be heard. My God, the growth I’ve seen in myself is incredible.

I didn’t realize until recently — this year, I believe — that by visiting my ancestral country of Jamaica, and more specifically Kingston, I was traversing directly over the Chiron line in my astrocartography.

Again and again and again.

Chiron is known as the wounded healer, a place in the sky — and our astrology charts — that speak to hurts we’ve experienced in the past and how they continue to create an impact on how we show up in the world. Usually not so great, yet profoundly needed. Since Chiron is involved, the energy isn’t light and airy, rather it’s more activating in an uncomfortably stimulating, yet alluring way. Unconsciously and innocently addictive.

Like how we partner with folks who seem like home, almost forgetting that home life hasn’t been a space of solace. Also knowing that change and relief don’t usually come through ease but…
